Making a Difference in the Community

“People helping people” is the basic premise of credit unions.  Denver Community Credit Union is strongly committed to our members and our community at large.  We take pride in continuously supporting community events and several local organizations that work to provide goods and services to those in need.  Denver Community supports community organizations with monetary and in-kind donations, including free financial education and free use of our facilities for community groups.

In 2008, we received the Community Impact Award given by the Colorado Credit Union Association. As part of the award, they filmed a video about our work in the community. The video can be seen on the web by clicking here.

Our award winning community education program was designed with the needs of our community in mind and all the classes held on-site at the credit union are free and open to the public. To attend one of our award winning classes, click here.

Click here to see a list of topics offered at area businesses and community organizations.  Since its inception in 2005, over 4,600 adults and youth received free financial education and over 40 organizations received support from Denver Community.  As a credit union, we remain committed to the financial health of our community, and will live out our mission to make a difference in people’s lives by providing financial opportunity.
